When I started out as a Registered Nurse over 10 years ago, I didn’t intend to become a business strategist. I had aspirations in nursing leadership and education, which led me to pursue a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education.
Just two years into my nursing career, I was working in the ICU as a preceptor and aspiring educator. I was leading in high-pressure environments where clear communication, quick decisions, and well-run systems weren’t optional, they were life-saving.
After leaving the ICU, I stepped into the world of Clinical Research at Mayo Clinic Health System and became an RN Study Coordinator. I was quickly promoted to Supervisor of Clinical Research for my region of the Mayo Clinic Health System. In that role, I led teams, served on institutional committees, coordinated patients' chemotherapy therapy in clinical trials, and played a key role in designing, implementing, and executing hundreds of research protocols during my tenure. I was quickly advising world renowned medical providers on their research studies at Mayo Clinic. It was complex, high-stakes work that required strong leadership, thoughtful strategy, and the ability to turn ideas into action. It was in this role I discovered my ability to quickly and efficiently operationalize projects.
My experience working in Clinical Research shaped the way I think about business. In healthcare, systems and structure aren’t a luxury; they’re the foundation. When I transitioned into entrepreneurship, I carried that mindset with me. While in my role at Mayo Clinic, I co-founded and built a multi–million dollar product-based business from my basement. Good Ass Hair Day dry shampoo scaled quickly, and I learned firsthand what it’s like to go viral, build a team with systems swiftly, all while fighting fires on the daily.
Like many founders, I eventually felt the tension. Growth brought success, but also a messy backend and the constant pressure to hold it all together. That’s when I realized my true zone of genius wasn’t just building businesses, it was helping others strengthen and elevate theirs. In 2024 I was fortunate to exit Good Ass Hair Day to move onto my next venture.
Called to Elevate was created for founders who are ready to grow with clarity, intention, and ease. I partner with visionary entrepreneurs who want structure, support, and strategy they can trust—without the overwhelm.
Today, I bring together leadership experience, operational thinking, and a deep love for creating ease through systems. Whether you are refining your backend operations, reimagining how you lead, or building something new entirely, I am here to help you rise with clarity, confidence, and alignment. Your business should support your life, not consume it, and sustainable growth always starts with intention.
